Future Visions Lab (aka TSTL) was a paid afterschool program (2020-24) for students of Dobbins Career & Technical High School in Philadelphia to practice Leadership, Critical Thinking, and Media skills through real world interdisciplinary projects for Sustainability and Community Health and Wealth. Students identified an issue and developed a project. The program itself was shaped collaboratively by students and staff.
Now, with the completion and release of the documentary, this group of students are graduating, leaving a legacy. This particular formation of the club will conclude, and the next wave of student leaders are stepping up. A dedicated Dobbins Garden Club has formed to steward the Dobbins Peace Garden, while the Culinary and Biotechnology programs have integrated indoor hydroponic growing in the classroom.
